Descant and harmonization
Welsh tune in LM (8.8.8.8)
On Jordan's bank (Advent) / Christ hath a garden (Lent, Easter)

This haunting, sweet tune seems better-disposed to texts other than the pairing to a Pentecost text in the Hymnal 1982. I particularly like Christ hath a garden with Lledrod. The harmonization has been altered here and there, to support a more fluid descant; and the text underlay in Christ hath a garden in the last three measures differs somewhat from typical, as it better fits the prosody. (That, and I couldn't see devoting three beats each to prepositions.) The descant provides more motion and, in places, different phrase rhythm than the tune, so descanters may want to practice it a couple times.
